Game Ideas

Concept 1

It's 1665 and your the first rat bringing the plague into London, your goal is to simply spread it. Challenges in this game are to find other rats to spread to, finding human water suplies to bathe in, biting an unsuspecting humans ankle and avoiding being killed. Humans sadly don't take too kindly to rats, so while trying your best to get as many of your germs in as many people as possible if spotted by a person they will try to chase you down, throwing objects and stamping at you as you scurry away.

The target audience for this game would casual gamers ages 9 and up, as it is not an intense game but the darker themes may be a bit much for younger audiences. Projected success of this game is based off similar wacky simulation games such as I Am Bread and I Am Fish. Although the difference in this game is the high dependancy on NPC's such as other rats and humans.

Prototyping of this game would focus on getting basic mechanics to work such as biting humans to infect and creating interesting level design so the rat is able to hide and move within the world easily.

Concept 2

Imagine being a person who has to sort luggage for flights, after all who knows what really happens behind the scenes as an airport, it really could be just one guy loosing his mind trying to organise thousands of bags.  You play a character standing in a room surrounded by conveyor belts, slowly bags start pouring in. Other conveyor belts in the room have a destinations name above with a timer, as more and more bags flow in you need to make sure that the bags are placed on the correct outgoing conveyor belt before the timer ends and the plane leaves. miss too many or place them on the wrong belt and you will be FIRED.

Similar to the first concept this game is for simulation loving casual gamers of all ages. Success projection of this game is based off it being a mash up of Over Cooked and Surgeon Simulator.

Prototyping for this game will focus on getting elements functioning to a basic level if not smoothly or particularly prettily.
